The Suppenküche image for gallery

Was born in Portland, Oregon.

With beautiful work from the artisan bike builders Metrofiets, wheels built by Jude at Epic Wheel Works, our new friends at Splendid Cycles, and the generous help of Shimano (who supplied the Cargobike’s XTR Yumeya mtb components), as well as support from our other great sponsors, the Suppenküche’s Kunstplatz was able to create and ride a unique Cargobike 204 miles over two days in the annual Seattle to Portland bicycle ride for Health (known as the STP) – fully loaded. Both days the bike carried a case (24) of Radeberger Pilsner, some OW Socks and a Portland-sourced full picnic lunch from Ken’s Artisan BakeryOlympic Provisions and Edelweiss Deli. We finished in just under 20 hours (over the two days) with zero mecanical problems.

We encourage you to click on any of the images for an extended gallery and more details about the ride and the bike.
